Cambridge Narrowboats - Beautiful New Moon Narrowboat

Enjoyable narrowboat adventure

Pros: We hired a narrowboat for a few days in September. We were greeted by Gary who took us to our boat and took us out for about an hour's practice of sailing, mooring etc before we were allowed to set off on our own. The boat was lovely and overall we had a really pleasant and calming few days on the rivers. We were blessed with beautiful weather. We enjoyed our visit to Ely but couldn't reach Cambridge as one of the locks was closed for repair. We did have one or two small issues but the team were just a short phone call away with help and guidance. We would highly recommend this company and will hopefully return for another trip next year.

Cons: We did find the sleeping arrangements quite uncomfortable and wish that we had taken up Gary's offer of a spare fold out bed.

Pros: The boat was really lovely and facilities were great considering it is a boat. The host was attentive and ensured we were comfortable maneuvering the boat before sending us on our way. And provided lots of guidance on the water ways and local destinations.

Cons: We have no complaints

Super narrowboat experience north of Cambridge

Pros: A beautiful all wood-paneled narrowboat that was well appointed for a multi day stay for 2 people. The boat was well maintained and everything (motor, pumps, water, wifi, kitchen, bathroom) was very clean and in great working order. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was appropriately stocked with dishes, drinkware, flatware, cooking utensils, pots and pans, and even a few kitchen basics (seasonings and oil). Our host gave terrific instructions sending helpful information and videos in advance then personally gave onboard instructions and then remained very responsive during our stay. The check out process was seamless and easy. Loved that we saw all sorts of birds, ducks and swans all along the river. Very relaxing, enjoyable and unique accommodations.

Unbedingt wiederholen, viel Spass.

Pros: Das Hausboot war in einem sehr gepflegten Zustand, sauber und extrem gut durchdacht. Es war eine grosse Freude von Gary eingewiesen zu werden. Nach zwei Stunden durften wir selbst nach Ely fahren, grosser Spass, auch für unsere kleine Familie, die wir dort aufnahmen und Richtung Cambridge fuhren. Vielen Dank Gary, ein grossartiges Erlebnis. Cons: Es gab wirklich nichts auszusetzen, alles war so, wie es angekündigt worden ist. Keine Negativpunkte.
