Pros: Tower Cottage is a fabulous property. The accommodation is really well equipped and extremely comfortable - a contemporary ambience in a historic building. Furthermore it’s centrally located right next to the Cathedral and on the edge of Bury’s medieval grid. It’s just a short walk to the main shopping areas and has private and safe car parking literally on the doorstep! Can’t recommend highly enough.

Pros: Very thoughtfully equipped. There wasn’t hint of scrimping on the essentials at the cost of visitor comfort. Lots of coffee, tea, cupboard essentials in the kitchen. The ‘copper’ bath was a lovely treat as it is nice and deep, lovely for a luxury soak. The bed was extremely comfy and very hard to leave on sunday morning! The host was inconspicuously attentive and responsive. All in all, an excellent stay. Would definitely book again and recommend: worth paying a little more sometimes, in order to be able to relax and enjoy time away. I’d recommend a stay of several days, as you need that long to be able to find all the special treats and seek out the nooks and crannies. Great place.

Cons: Booking.com didn’t send a email until 9.21PM with the safe key details I was told that the email would be sent in the morning so I could check in at 3.00 PM

A high quality comfortable house in a lovely position

The best location in Bury with parking, a unique historic home lovingly restored.

Pros: Brilliant location in the cathedral precinct with parking right outside the door - perfect. A short stroll to the lively and interesting town centre. We met Clare the host and she was very helpful. She recommended the Angel Hotel to eat in, and a walk around the Abbey gardens, both nearby. Superb recommendations.

Cons: Nothing. However we had brought our cool bag with ice packs and because the fridge doesn't have a freezer compartment, we were unable to re-freeze the ice packs for the return journey home.

Perfect stay in Tower Cottage

Pros: It was our 35th wedding anniversary and this was a superb opportunity to stay in Tower Cottage, also known as Norman Tower Cottage, an iconic listed building that has been beautifully furnished by the owners, and is right by the cathedral and the peaceful and extensive Abbey Gardens. You can even park right outside. I had reason to call Claire the day before we arrived, she answered straight away and was very pleasant and professional. With beautiful weather too, this was a perfect stay!
