Characterful house in Hertford - near London

Comfortable stay in a traditional property in an excellent location

Pros: It is an amazing location to explore the town of Hertford.

Cons: Although parking is included as a facility, it is on street and a very busy road so difficult to find. The bathroom is on the ground floor with the kitchen and down to tight, round staircases if you need to use it in the middle of the night. The towels could be newer/fluffier. It would be useful to have some basic things available in the kitchen; condiments/vinegar/butter

Great stay in central Hertford

Pros: The house is very old (1600's) so it has a very quirky layout and the stairs are steep but manageable. It was well equipped and had everything we needed. Very easy to get to, and great location in the town centre. The house was a lot bigger than expected, I was worried about ceiling heights as my husband is 6'5 but it was fine.

Cons: Nothing stands out that was a particular issue - there is a little general background noise (cars, people walking past) but nothing excessive and nothing that you wouldn't expect from being in town. I can see why people would have issues with the stairs but it is a very old, listed property.

Pros: Fantastic base for a family event in Hertford this weekend, this beautiful, quirky house exceeded expectations. Would happily stay here again.

Pros: Very well equipped and comfortable house. it is certainly characterful. Very convenient for Stansted Airport.
