Kingsway Bed & Breakfast

Pros: Lovely house, that is a short walk away from Broxbourne railway station and about 17 minutes walk from Hoddesdon. The room was large and pleasant and the bathroom clean. But the best thing was the hosts themselves who I had a lovely chat to in the kitchen while they were making and then me having my fantastic veggie full English breakfast. This was way more of a friendly and warm experience than just an accommodation, thank you very much!

Did exactly what I needed it for: comfortable stop-off for trip to London on the Sunday.

Pros: Location and the room. Really comfortable and not too hot! I slept well which in itself is a recommendation. Staff really friendly and helpful

Cons: Better shower. It was hot enough. No problem. But pressure could have been higher.

Warmly and kindly greeted, soundly slept in a very comfortable bed and fed extremely well.

Pros: I was slightly speculative about there being no on-suite, but this proved to be no problem and the bathroom facilities were very good. The welcome was superb and the breakfast was good enough for a King and thoroughly enjoyed along with the welcome over breakfast

Traditional style guest house in a convenient location

Pros: In a convenient location close to good pubs and transport links. The landlady was very friendly and helpful, and the room was quiet and comfortable. Tasty breakfast too!

Pros: I liked it all, Janice was great, friendly, and chatty, as was Roy.. At first i was a bit disappointed that the room didn`t have its own bathroom, but the one that it did have was immaculately clean, fresh, and fully secure... Cooked brekky was yummy and filling... The location was ideal for me, not far from the station (about a 10 minute `slow` walk) My bed was comfy and the whole room was great, it also had a refrigerator which certainly came in very handy.. Without a doubt i would, and/or will, stay there again..

Cons: There was nothing to dislike, i really did enjoy my short stay..

Pros: Made to feel welcome with very friendly hosts. Nice big bedroom with comfortable beds. Lovely area to explore.

Cons: Furniture and decor a little old and jaded. No instructions how to operate the TV, although we got there in the end. A biscuit with the tea making facilities would have been welcome on our arrival.

I was made a lovely full English breakfast before my departure, the whole experience was excellent.

Pros: It was spotlessly clean. In a great location for local restaurants and bars. Only a short walk to Broxbourne train station. The proprietors were very friendly.

Cons: Nothing. I would definitely stay here again.

Friendly, spotless and exceeded expectations

Pros: Incredibly friendly hosts, the place is immaculately clean. Breakfast was excellent. It's an older building and the interior reflects this but all in great condition and clean. The room has coffee making facilities, a TV and a fridge, plus a sink. I stayed on the hottest day of the year so it would have been lovely if there was a fan in the room, but that is minor

Cons: I don't like shared facilities, but I was aware of these before booking and they were maintained immaculately so it was not a problem. There's not really anything negative to say, bearing in mind this is at the budget end of the price scale. The Kingsway exceeded my expectations and the friendliness of the hosts and their willingness to do all they can to ensure a great stay puts a lot of more expensive hotels to shame. I would not hesitate to stay here again
