Nice room, friendly helpful.staff, convenient location

Pros: The Rifle Volunteer is a great mix of traditional historic English pub and modern sports bar, the room had everything we needed and lovely comfortable bed a short walk from Ware town centre

A friendly, comfortable English 'local'; I'll certainly return.

Pros: If you're a 'Full English' fan, this place is not for you as they only do a Continental breakfast. But what a Continental! Cereals, meats, cheeses, yoghurts and kefirs. Breads, croissants, crumpets with a range of jams and spreads. Eggs, beans and cooking/toasting facilities. Don't knock it; try it! Location is good, with off-road parking

Pros: The location is absolutely perfect for me given its walking distance to Ware coffee shops and the station.

Cons: Nothing really, except the coat hanger attached to the door fell off - just needs replacing.

My honest opinion

Pros: A lovely little pub in Ware. Great location with a private carpark. The landlord and staff in the pub are lovely and friendly. Very helpful. He was a lovely host. Rooms were clean cosy and warm on a very extremely cold night when we stayed. In the morning there was a nice help your self breakfast. Good value for money.

Cons: There was nothing i didn't like about my stay
