Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we’ll be returning sometime soon.
Pros: Location was great with great walks. It was clean and comfortable the bed was great, we slept really well. The use of the canoes, dinghy and bikes was a big bonus. We wanted to just chill out and we definitely did at River Lark. I’ll definitely recommend to all and I hope to return soon. Thank You Anna and Roger
Cons: There’s nothing we didn’t like 😊

Pros: We've just spent 4 relaxing nights in River Lark Lodge. Stunning location, overlooking the lake and river and was so peaceful and scenic. The owners were very accomodating and communicated well, the lodge itself was clean and cosy with everything we needed provided for a great stay. We loved the views from the sofa but did use the bikes provided as well as enjoying lovely walks from the Marina. Would highly recommend..

Peaceful stay by the lake.
Pros: So peaceful. Right on the lake. 2 kayaks and a rowing boat for you to use. Kitchen has all pots, pans and utensils you could ever wish for. Push bikes were available. Bed was very comfortable with upstairs beds, and a sofa bed in the living room. There is a walk around the marina which is about 1 mile. All the people the were very friendly. The river that runs south of the apartment was crystal clear with the fish clearly visible. No extra charge for dogs which is a real bonus. There is a farm and butchers close to the entrance of the marina. Sausages, pies, scotch eggs were excellent. Fishing is permitted (although we didn’t) We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to return.
Cons: Nothing.

Wonderful location, rowing and kayaking was so fun! Wildlife exceptional in a well equipped lodge.
Pros: Being on the water with the row boat, kayaks and the gorgeous location made this a wonderful holiday. No-one else on the water really so we had the lake to ourselves as long as we avoided the fishing folks. Wildlife are all around, geese, deer, boxing hares, kingfishers, fish in the lake, and even an otter. Apart from the wildlife noises, which I loved, a very peaceful location. The lodge is well equipped, good little kitchen with everything you need to cook, everything in good order and not too pristine, but perfectly lovely, so didn't have to worry having a dog and teenagers - the pictures represent it well. Lovely pub in the nearby village, The Merry Monk, is well worth a visit for the Sunday lunch and has a good little Co-op which is a very pretty half hour walk.
Cons: I loved it and would go again. In case it is an issue, there is limited headroom in the upstairs bedrooms and one of them is open plan. Fine for kids as long as one doesn't mind not having a door to close. The boiler is above the master bedroom and hums quietly pretty much all the time. It is background noise and quiet, earplugs sorted it out. These are niggles and wouldn't stop me going back at all.
