Wonderful stay at Ravenwood Hotal, Near Bury St Edmunds.

Pros: We booked this Hotel at the last minute, we found it to be really lovely, set in idyllic settings, not far from Bury St Edmunds, good access to the Main A road nearby. The Hotal staff were really friendly, nothing was too much trouble, our room although up a spiral staircase was very comfortable, warm, large bed and bathroom they room was refreshed each day by the lovely cleaning team. The Hotel served food securing the evenings, also hot food choices during the day including afternoon tea, Sundays they serve a carvery from around 12 - 5pm, we booed this late and they managed to fit us in even though they had over 100 booking that day. We will definitely stay again, there are rooms within the manor house or set nearby in the grounds, all in all, a fantastically run and welcoming hotel, a big well done from us.

Cons: The Spiral staircase will not be suitable for those with walking difficulties, but this is only one room so check beforehand. Cheddar the Cockeral, gave us a early wake up call, although to be honest we could hardly hear him, her was very friendly and sat some days watching us eat breakfast 😀. So no complaints really from us.

Pros: We booked a room here for our honeymoon, it was a very lovely place to stay and we hopefully shall be back one day. Grounds were well kept, the house was beautiful, and the room was well thought out, clean, and comfortable. Candle lit breakfast was a well received surprise, fireplace added to the mood. Breakfast was good with a large array of options.

Cons: We were in the main house on the first floor, and you could hear music playing (word for word) from downstairs until midnight. In my opinion it could do with better soundproofing but I also understand that may be difficult in such an old house.

A great stay in a beautiful hotel.

Pros: The room was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious.

Cons: The side lamps couldn’t be plugged in. At lunch the main was delicious but the starter and dessert was disappointing.

Lovely old country house hotel

Pros: Beautiful old country house in fabulous grounds. Period furniture, beams , fireplaces. Amazing staff. Very good value for a late deal including breakfast.

Cons: The spiral staircase to my room was really hard to navigate with a case, briefcase and umbrella. I did get help on check in but was really worried coming down, especially in heels! It was very muddy in the carpark - due to excessive rain but I ruined some boots on my way in.
