River View - Stunning estuary views

Relaxing and calming, good for the soul and to recharge the batteries.

Pros: The property is in an outstandingly beautiful spot and the views never cease to amaze us. Every detail in the property has been really thoughtfully done and everything that we need is always there. Comfortable, clean and welcoming always.

Pros: The continental breakfast was fine but the location is fantastic.

The perfect rural get away.

Pros: Everything about our stay at River View Cottage was exceptional. Idyllic location, cosy cottage and considerate, caring hosts. (The latter was evidenced when arrived very late in the evening, got lost trying to find the property and although we couldn't reach Kate the first time we called, she immediately called us back, in spite of the lateness of the hour and guided us to our destination). The (uncooked) breakfast provided was really well thought out and required no interaction with the hosts - just delicious food left out or in the refrigerator for our use in the morning. The cottage was warm, spotlessly clean and looked out directly to a picturesque view of the estuary. Plenty of walking paths in the vicinity and a short hop to Snape Maltings and Aldeburgh. Thanks Kate. We will definitely return.

Exceptional accommodation in a quiet location.

Pros: Kate and Dom are lovely hosts. We had the pleasure of speaking with them both. The accommodation rooms are exceptional from a point of view of decor and cleanliness. There are views from every room, including the bathroom! Very comfortable bed and rooms are also spacious. It is exceptionally quiet but you are within 5 minutes from Snape Maltings and a short distance from Orford or Aldburgh. In our view faultless.

Fabulous stay, relaxing location!

Pros: Lovely 4 night stay, beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. Easy check in / out, great breakfast selection, lots of helpful guides and information and Dom & Kate are super friendly and helpful! We loved our stay here, the river front location was perfect and made for some lovely evenings. Plenty of walking options and good location to surrounding villages/towns.

The beautiful River View

Pros: River View has the most peaceful, tranquil setting with views across the lawn of an ever changing river scape that you never tire of looking out on. Inside the decor is tasteful and well maintained...each room light, airy and very spacious. The kitchen area is well equipped and breakfast goodies are changed or topped up daily with copious amounts of water to drink and boil for tea and coffee. Because there is no sink, any washing up is whisked away and returned clean daily...what a treat! Snape Maltings is only a 20 minute walk away along the river, which is great for browsing and stocking up on all things delicious from their wonderful deli. My daughter and I visit this area every year and this is by far the best and our favourite place...we absolutely loved our stay at River View!

Cons: You accees River View via a narrow country lane, which has quite a camber and my low slung VW Golf was not a fan, but slow and steady and we made it in and out. Not really a \

Pros: Accommodation was excellent - pleasant, clean decor, interesting paintings and books. Windows looking out onto fabulous riverscape. Great shower facility. No kitchen but good quality breakfast ingredients and drinks provided. The owners, who live next door seemed like lovely people - interested and helpful without being in any way intrusive.

Cons: Nothing I didn’t like
