We really enjoyed our stay at Stripe Cottage & recommend it to others - just take some essentials!

Pros: Lovely house in a great location - quiet and an easy, pleasant walk to the town; plenty of space for the 6 of us including two under-fives; very good quality appliances. Lots of games provided (btw, the spinner on Twister is broken). Management answered the phone and responded to emails very quickly. Aldeburgh is a lively town with some excellent cafes and restaurants. If you're looking for a sandy beach, we recommend Southwold which is 30 minutes away.

Cons: Lack of some, or insufficient, basics which appeared mean considering the cost of the rental:- No kitchen roll, no extra black bin or pedal bin liners, no pegs, very little handwash (you needed to add water to extract from some bottles), only 3 dishwasher tablets for a 4 night stay, and no cloths to clean the glass table. To be fair, on the first day, when I brought some of these issues to the attention of the management, a new bottle of handwash was delivered very quickly. There are lots of cobwebs around the outside of the windows which become a problem when you open them. The glass table was very smeared. Suggest trying Method glass cleaner and e-cloths! These small irritations could be easily resolved.
