The Huts At Woodthorpes

Pros: Peaceful place and very private with beautiful views and the owner was always in communication if needed I would highly recommend to anyone and definitely would go back in the future thank you the huts at woodthorpes really enjoyed my time there

Quiet, peaceful, serene and very enjoyable.

Pros: A very clean and comfortable property, in a lovely quiet location. The facilities were of a high class and the bed was extremely comfortable. Location was perfect as it was quiet and weren’t bothered by any noise during our stay (apart from the odd aircraft into Stansted, but as an aviation enthusiast that wasn’t an issue!) Hot tub was excellent and very clean and the standard of the finish throughout was extremely high.

Cons: Fridge was a bit small and the freezer compartment could do with a defrost as it froze some of our meat that was in there! The positioning of the shelf above the sink in the bathroom made brushing teeth a bit of a contortion act!

An idyllic countryside retreat

Pros: The outside area is designed perfectly for relaxing in natural space, yet with privacy.

Cons: Could do with a (fold away) table inside.

Beautiful hideaway to connect with nature

Pros: Beautiful, quiet location. We loved the wood fired hot tub and we loved hearing the owls hoot in the evening.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Willow hut is beautiful, warm, and welcoming. The bed and pillows are so comfortable! The location is perfect, and the hosts' added touch of marshmallows was lovely too.

We really enjoyed our stay in the hut! It was so relaxing and would definitely recommend to others! Thank you

Lovely Shepherds Hut in a peaceful and private area…. Definitely recommended for a relaxing and romantic getaway!!

Pros: Lovely place, clean , nice touches in there to make the place feel like home and plenty of privacy !!

Cons: Only one comment/suggestion and one criticism really ….. it’s advised to keep the windows closed because of flies - we didn’t as it was hot while we were there and with the door open there wasn’t much point in not opening the windows, we got a good breeze through that way and I had brought fly spray with me in case of midges…… why not put fine insect mesh over the windows and a fly screen door that way less problems with flies for those without fly spray and kinder to the environment too! - just an idea …. Other than that the mini fridge was completely iced up!!!! It was small enough a fridge as it was but the top shelf was frozen over half way from the ice box that was almost solid! We lost food that we had brought with us because of that and had to buy ice everyday to try to keep other bits at least cold within a cool bag!….. Your cleaners need to be made aware that these fridges need regular de-icing because apart from the inconvenience to guests, your mini fridges will burn out!
