Quaint 2 bed Cottage in the Heart of Cambridge

Very pleasant cosy stay in a very convenient location.

Pros: Very cosy clean little cottage located very centrally. Location opposite the green was particularly attractive and there was surprisingly little noise.

Cons: Staircase was awkward and wouldn’t recommend if you have any mobility difficulties. It’s a period cottage though so only to be expected.

Pros: Proximity to the attractions I wanted to visit was good. A parking permit, even if the space was 10mins away, was one of the reasons we chose this property.

Cons: There were problems with the TV meaning we had to use our own iPad to watch programmes. On the morning we left the wi-fi dropped out for half an hour which was a nuisance. The downside of proximity to the centre meant it was quite noisy.

Enjoyed it very much in spite of the stairs

Pros: I loved the quaint cottage and the location, very well fitted out with everything we might need and beautifully clean

Cons: The very steep stairs, not able to use the tv at all, leaves in the courtyard, squeaky beds

Pros: Great location with the park just across the road. Easy walking distance in to the town or across to some of the other colleges/exhibition centres and the station. Everything we needed for a long weekend was there and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Not even a key!! Genius!

Cons: Was a big on the loud side with the pub nextdoor and with the windows open in the back bedroom that overlook the courtyard but to be honest we were still up at kicking out time and the few people hanging around after were soon drowned out by snoring as the beds were countable and the added bonus of a fan for the really hot weather we had.

Great location and ideal for short stays

Pros: Excellent location in centre or Cambridge. Very clean and had a lots of kitchen bits to enable us to cook supper each evening. It was ideal for 2 friends staying for a couple of days. I would go again as it is just in an great position.

Cons: It was advertised on Booking.com as having 2 bathrooms - it doesn't. It has 1 bathroom and 1 toilet which doesn't even have a handbasin. We were disappointed as 2 bathrooms was the reason we chosen this house. Fortunately 1 of our party of 3 fell ill and could not come so sharing the bathroom between 2 was possible. Also beware that the stairs are steep.

On the whole an excellent stay

Pros: Charming cottage, great location, comfy beds and lounge. Perfect for a stay in Cambridge. Good communication too!

Cons: I have mobility issues, so parking 15 minutes walk away was not ideal, and the stairs are very steep. Could do with a grab handle for getting out of the shower. Shower was a bit difficult on temperature control. Having said all that, we had a lovely stay!

Great bolt hole

Pros: Great location, very close to city centre and great restaurants. Very clean cosy little cottage, courtyard off the kitchen is a great little suntrap! Lovely open park to the front. Free parking a short walk away!!

Cons: Pub noise but we knew about that before we booked as it's identified in the description. Water temperature for shower is a bit erratic, very hot first morning, couldn't alter temp to be cooler. Water pressure was a bit poor but not a deal breaker.

It was winter so we didn't use the lovely little garden areas to the back and front. A place with character. The windows were very sound-proof, though this might not be so useful in the summer when you want them open! They had convenient slatted blinds

Cons: Nothing major! Just a few little things: The property description was 2 bathrooms, but in fact it was 1 full bathroom plus a separate WC. The kitchen bench seating is not particularly comfortable for long meals, but certainly practical. The 2nd sofa would be better with a back, ie a proper chair / sofa

Pros: Location, charm, facilities all fab. Owners very helpful at all times

Cons: One gripe was parking but that's not really an issue

leuk huisje centraal

Pros: heel leuk huisje, aan de rand van groot grasveld, vlakbij de stad. goede communicatie alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt

Cons: niks
