Hurrell Cottage

Pros: The cottage was just as in the photos. Immaculately presented and with a well equipped kitchen. Parking on the street was easy. The location was perfect for getting to the center of town as well as the busy Mill road area.

Great weekend, loved the area - great pubs very close by.

Pros: Lovely house, quirky decor and great art! Had everything we needed - warm and very comfortable. We loved it!

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: This cottage has a great location, only a 10 min walk to the town centre. You leave a car on street for free what is a huge bonus, and the cottage/taras house itself is beautiful, cozy and well decorated. There is a garden on the back and can be used in warmer weather. I love the furnitures, colours and design. Love it!. We also get a welcome pack : bread, milk, wine, cookies and jam, thank you very much, we loved our stay.

Lovely place in quiet neighborhood

Pros: This house is very nice and well decorated... It was also exquisitly decorated for christmas which we found very welcoming. The kitchen is well equipped,the parking is easy, there are nice books to go through and in our opinion is close to all that we required including history / culture / museum sites and shopping... groceries and cute shops. Lovely place in quiet neighborhood.

Cons: Tv too small. We felt cold at night as the heater was always switching to low temp... Maybe we did not know how to increase it.

Cosy cottage in a great location!

Pros: Cosy cottage in a great location within walking distance of the city centre and Mill Road. We were there at the beginning of December so it was a lovely festive touch to have a Christmas tree!

Cons: It would have been useful to have one bright light e.g. for make up application but that is really only a minor quibble in an otherwise great stay.

Pros: Hurrell Cottage was the perfect cozy getaway. The interior is super cute with a warm, homey feel, and the location is brilliant — just a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute Uber into town. Free street parking was easy, and there’s an EV charger nearby where we charged our car overnight. We also loved the thoughtful touches like fresh bread, jam, milk and biscuits on arrival. Highly recommend!

Pros: The house was tastefully decorated and was very welcoming and comfortable. It felt like home when you walked in.

Cons: Parking is possible but initially a bit hit and miss. You can find a space but need to be patient as cars coming and going. So overall not a problem.

Great cottage

Pros: The cottage is ideally located to reach the main attractions in the centre, a mile to a mile and a half walk. Free on street parking, garden, clean, comfortable bed. Interesting objects and art in the cottage. Decent shower. A 5 mins walk to supermarket and lots of little local pubs on the street corners nearby. Owners had left thoughtful welcome pack of bread, milk, biscuits and there was some tea bags and coffee.

Cons: Nothing! My only small grumble was lack of decent size tea pot and no cafitiere!

A pleasant break in a very interesting city.

Pros: The cottage was beautifully decorated and furnished. But, as we travelled by train, it was a long walk to the centre of the city for us =we are 74. The owner was very pleasant and helpful.

Cons: the hob in the kitchen was not easy to use.
