Grace's Place in Ely

Pros: Everything we needed worked; clean, and not noisy; easy parking; and there's a nice seating area out the back. We had a pleasant stay

Cons: I'm not sure there was anything we DIDN'T like, but some things could have been better, e.g. more hanging space in bedrooms , so I sent Grace some suggestions by email.

Pros: Great location. Clean house. Good contact with our host Grace.

Cons: Double bed was a bit to small for 2 grown ups, but managed just fine.

Comfortable house with everything we needed

Pros: Comfortable and the hosts had supplied fans as it was very hot! Small garden too.

Grace's Place

Pros: Went to Celebrate my Husband, Daughter and Sons Birthday all born on the same day. We live in County Durham and our Daughter lives in London. We wanted to be together in a home to celebrate.

Cons: It was a lovely accommodation, could have done with a separate toilet. When someone was in the shower it was a nightmare if you needed the toilet. The accommodation was fine, however, it seemed a lot further away from the centre of everything than I expected.

Lovely, clean, well equipped house; walking distance to the town.

Pros: Lovely little house. Great location within walking distance of the town, parking on the street outside, short walk to a Premier corner shop. Good facilities and well equipped kitchen. Everything was very clean, well presented, modern and tidy. Good wifi and dishwasher. We were asked if we had any special requests. We asked for decaffeinated coffee and an extra single duvet and this was kindly provided.

Cons: The dining table is very small for 4 people. The double bed in the double bedroom is quite small. Only one toilet which is upstairs in the bathroom.

Pleasurable short break, religious buildings impressive. Recommend the Old Fire Engine House

Pros: 10/15 minutes walk to town centre. Easy parking

Comfortable and convenient

Pros: Clean, warm, comfortable, great shower. Short walk to town centre. Good on street parking.

Cons: The entrance to the front garden was spoilt by bins, and bad paving creating a general very unkempt look -which certainly wasn’t the feel of the house itself. Would have been nice if a pint of milk was provided.

Excellent base for Ely and surrounding area.

Pros: Simple, modern decoration. Well equipped. No trinkets on display. Owner is very helpful and responsive. Lots of on-street parking.

Cons: Only minor stuff: eg cafetiere is one cup only, no instructions for the tv + 2 set-top boxes ( but we worked it out!).

Practical and comfortable house, well suited to explore the surrounding area

Pros: Very clean and tidy, with all appliances in full working order

Cons: We found that the bathroom was difficult to ventilate properly - the window could not be opened as it was too high, and the extractor fan appeared to continue running after a shower for a very long time after the bathroom light was turned off (well into the night which can be disruptive). The shower seemed to flood the bathroom floor very easily - and we think could benefit from a longer glass screen. Also additional bathroom lighting would be helpful. The kitchen could benefit from some short fruit/vegetable preparation knives.
