Rustic Retreat Guest Lodge

Pros: Lovely accommodation great location and I loved the balcony.

Enjoyable for a short stay in lovely location.

Pros: Good location, quiet, close to family. Very warm and cosy. Lots of hot water. Good shower. Excellent Wi-Fi connection. Pleasant, helpful hosts with good communication beforehand.

Cons: Being tall, we had to be careful of low ceilings. Microwave on low table wasn’t easy to use. Furniture low and difficult to get off settee. Steep stairs into property.

A super night's stay.

Pros: The hosts were very welcoming. The place was cosy and clean. The grounds are lovely with a small copse and a pond. The hosts allowed us to take a walk in the grounds and pick some sloes to make some sloe gin whe we got home (done!). A lovely place to stay. 11 mins by car to Ely, which is a charming little city with super food venues, a market and an impressive cathedral.

Pros: Lovely quiet comfortable lodge in nice position and easy reach of beautiful Ely. Cosy too. Large grounds available for a walk or sit. Great hosts who cannot do enough for you.

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay there and look forward to going again. Friendly hosts and great accommodation.

Peaceful, a really super, if bijou, studio apartment

Pros: Peaceful and quiet, but very handy for the main road. Kichenette was very useful, if minimally furnished, but all you would need to prepare small meals, and breakfast. I've never had more friendly, helpful, or attentive hosts. If there was something you needed, they found a solution.

Cons: Access via stairs only was difficult for me because I had pulled a tendon in my knee after I booked. Hosts carried luggage, shopping, cases though, very happily. Having only a microwave available for cooking did limit what you could prepare in house. Sloping ceilings made parts of the room inaccessible for me, but it was still big enough for a couple. More sockets at waist height would have helped, as I could not get down to the floor with my knee! A bookshelf or somewhere to store papers and the usual holiday clutter would have helped, but the sofa was too low for me to sit on it, so it served double duty as a storage area.

Pros: Good location and such a lovely owners. Fantastic rural atmosphere. The room was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this lodge for others and would love to stay here again.

Cosy apartment, friendly and welcoming hosts.

Pros: Very peaceful and comfortable cottage, with a woodland field walk behind it and a lovely little balcony to sit out in the sun.

Cons: Proper curtains would be a good idea to help sleeping in summer months.

Peaceful stay in the countryside, perfect location for a day trip to Ely.

Pros: Everything we needed, super comfy bed, complimentary essentials, good wifi and tv and a lovely view. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

Cons: Nothing we didn’t like.

Idyllic little spot, I would stay here again

Pros: Very cozy self-contained studio apartment in a beautiful rural location. The apartment has everything you need. The hosts are super friendly, helpful, and eager to help you to enjoy your stay. The grounds extend back a long way and feature a lovely summer house overlooking a pond. There are many different types of trees and plants attracting butterflies. They also have chickens. From the balcony at the apartment you can enjoy great views over the countryside and I saw muntjac deer a few times. You can also spot several wild birds in the area - I was lucky enough to see a barn owl shortly after sunset one night. Although you are very much in the countryside the place is easy to find and the proximity to the A10 makes it easy to get around. I really enjoyed my stay here and would come back.

Cons: For me everything was great - but if you are a taller person you will want to be careful of the low ceilings (I'm only 5'4\
