Unusual - great for a short stay!

Pros: The breakfast items left for us was just exactly enough for the duration of our stay. A very unusual accommodation with impressive and unique features. The staircase design was unexpected but put the property in its historical context. A good location for short walks.

Cons: The shower was lukewarm - it would have been good for us both to have a hot shower. Only 2 sheets of paper kitchen towel was left on the roll for mop ups (although 4 cotton kitchen towels were available). We had brought our own towels as required, but didn’t realise that no hand towel would be provided in the shower/ toilet. We would have liked a few more logs for the fireplace.

Lovely character cottage for the able bodied!

Pros: Good breakfast supplies. Lovely log fire. Heated bathroom floor. Excellent host was very helpful. Lots of character.

Cons: Bedroom upstairs but bathroom is downstairs. (Very steep narrow stairs) Bed not as firm as I would have liked. Living room is quaint and cosy but could do with better lighting. It’s very dim in the daytime.

This charming cottage is great base to discover Suffolk!

Pros: This lovely quirky cottage was a great base for our short break with our senior Labrador. Comfy bed, heaps of character. Within walking distance of the town with great amenities. Easy enough to find on street parking.

Cons: Yes the stairs are very steep but wasn’t a problem for us.

Great little hideaway

Pros: Quirky and cosy, and the owner was lovely. Very steep staircase, but fine so long as you have no mobility problems

Cons: No towels provided, which doesn't matter but had she not mentioned it on the phone we wouldn't have realised.

Well equipped characterful cottage in a beautiful county.

Pros: it is as quirky as promised, packed full of original features. in the exceptionally hot weather it kept beautifully cool. Everything I needed was there. it was very convenient too for what I was doing (exploring my family history in that area) and having off street parking a bonus especially when I became aware of how rare that was.

Cons: You are rightly warned re the steep steps before booking - they need to be taken with care and are not for everyone. But they are part of the character of the cottage.

Pros: Man hat alles, was man braucht. Sehr gute Lage. Weiches, kuscheliges Bett, urgemütliches altes Haus. Man muss aber antik mögen, dann ist es perfekt.
