Rural bolthole in Constable country estate - The Woodshed

Relaxing, comfortable and peaceful stay.

Pros: The property is located in a very peaceful part of Constable Country, perfect for a relaxing break. The village itself is quaint and quiet, with no shops, which adds to its charm. On arrival, there was a very informative guide detailing the history of Higham, along with plenty of useful information about nearby shops and farm shops. There were also lots of leaflets highlighting things to do in the area, which was a great help when planning our days out. The master bedroom is spacious and very comfortable. The second bedroom is a good-sized twin room overlooking the garden. The kitchen is lovely and well stocked with all the utensils you could need – truly a home away from home. The welcome basket was a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch. Helena, the owner, is a pleasure to deal with and made everything very straightforward. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return again.

Luxurious cosy retreat in peaceful wooded estate

Pros: A delicious ‘welcome’ hamper, lashings of hot water for a bath, attention to detail - lovely paintings and furnishings, soft lights and heating to greet our arrival on a dark night!

Cons: Damp decking outside was very slippery - but this is always the case with decking, unfortunately.

Relaxing, home from home

Pros: Lovely welcome basket and very peaceful. Beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished.

Pros: Location is Great ! Cottage is fully and well equipped and very clean ! Surrounding is peaceful , quiet and easy access to nature's woods and gardens. Hosts are very friendly and helpful !

Pros: Wunderschönes, ruhiges Ferienhaus auf dem Land, liebevoll eingerichtet mit allem, was es für erholsame Ferien braucht und einem herrlichen, grossen Garten mit riesigen Bäumen. Geschirrspüler und Waschmaschine für die Bequemlichkeit sind vorhanden.
