Modern 4-Bedroom Contractor Base in Lexden with Parking

A lovely house in a quiet neighbourhood - would certainly stay there again

Pros: In general, I'm very happy with the choice to stay here. It's a lovely house, with a large living room, a dining room and four reasonably-sized bedrooms. Everything was very clean upon arrival, the heating was effective, and there's a driveway for parking, a large TV, and good internet. The hosts communicated all information effectively and have left a folder with instructions for appliances and tips for the main places of interest. We are familiar with the area and chose the house because of its location - it's on a quiet street in a pleasant, residential part of town and has a supermarket a couple of minutes' drive or a 15-minute walk away. It's also convenient for the Tollgate retail centre and the zoo. For anyone with an EV, there's a charging station located about halfway between the house and the supermarket on Dugard Avenue.

Cons: We felt that the kitchen was a little short on equipment, especially for stays longer than ours. As it was, having a blender and more kitchenware would have been useful. I would also have expected to find a corkscrew.

Pros: A wonderful and spacious house! We really enjoyed our stay, everything was great. The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant, and there is a convenient off-street parking spot right by the house

HAPPY HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE

Pros: The house was in a good state of repair throughout and spacious enough to accommodate 8 people comfortably. There was a bathroom with shower and toilet, an en-suite in the main bedroom and a toilet downstairs so no need to queue! Games were provided in addition to a huge tv. The location was perfect for us to visit Colchester town the zoo and Jimmy's farm. Information was provided about the local area and for all the electrical appliances. Tea and coffee were provided which was a nice touch. Off street parking for 2 cars was also handy.

A Very Nice House

Pros: Comfortable, clean and warm, in a quiet cul-de-sac with off street parking, just a few minutes drive to Colchester.

Cons: No problems 😊

Ideal base to visit people / places if near Colchester

Pros: Plenty of space, made it a home for a week, just ideal. Shops are pretty local as well. Garden would be useful in warmer times!

Cons: Everything ok to be honest, just be careful of the front door, very easy to lock yourself out if not used to this type of door.

Pros: The house was lovely, well kept, warm and comfortable. The hosts were exceptional and were proactive and easy to reach with quick responses. Loved it here and will recommend 100%

Fabulous family home away from home

Pros: The house was really clean and had more items available than I imagined.

Cons: The squeaky bedroom door handles, and that is only because they would wake my 8 month old baby up during the night.
