Pros: We had a fantastic stay at this property. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and very well equipped, making it easy to relax from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub — a great feature and perfect for unwinding. The property itself was lovely and well maintained, and everything was exactly as described. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again.

Cons: Nothing to dislike.

A very wholesome stay, enjoyed by the entire family

Pros: Really lovely and spacious property with very good facilities - great for a big family and made for a really unique stay. Loved the fire places and the large kitchen. All 12 of us were able to enjoy meals in the kitchen together, which was nice. Though the barn is not noise insulated, this didn’t bother us too much.

Cons: The chlorine levels in the hot tub seemed very high. We used it once and didn’t want to use it again

Beautiful barn in a great location

Pros: The location was great- near so many interesting and pretty places. We ate out at a local restaurant in Great Dunmow which was a very pretty village and spent the day in Colchester which was v close by. The building is beautifully restored. The rooms were spacious and it had a homely feel. The kitchen appliances and implements were all brilliant, it was so nice to have copious amounts of cups, glasses, etc. The bedrooms were a good size. The outside space was lovely and the night sky was lit up with stars. There’s even a swing in the garden! Lots of outside seating too. Communication with the owner was great and it was so easy to get into the property, with lots of info provided.

Cons: The hottub has seen better days. It was a bit dirty before we got in and the lid is broken. The padding is old and worn. It tripped out overnight so was cold in the morning though this was quick to rectify by resetting. It’s also not really big enough for more than 4/5 people at a push. The farm’s quite noisy early morning (noise from 6.30am)and on the second morning there was a guy with a strimmer going round cutting the grass round our bedrooms, etc before 9am. There are no curtains in the living areas and it’s quite overlooked by the farmhouse. The bedroom/bathroom ratio and locations wasn’t ideal but we knew that before we booked.

A very lovely and peaceful getaway with the family in an amazing well looked after property - 10/10!

Pros: Lovely property in a secluded, quiet, location. Very spacious and relaxing setting. Very well equipped with everything we needed for the holiday, towels, cookware, utensils, electric fans, dish washer, washing machine, dryer and most popular part of the holiday, the hot tub which went down a treat with the whole family. Overall, a lovely property, very well looked after and we would definitely stay again.

Cons: One only very minor comment was that there wasn’t any blinds or curtains for the lounge area. However, this didn’t deter from the fact that we all had an amazing stay.

Lovely country stay

Pros: The barn was a really lovely spot for a group of friends to come together, with a cute pony next door and a nice fire pit. The living room and bedrooms were all very clean and super comfy, and we cooked a dinner and breakfast using the big oven in the kitchen. The back garden is huge and we loved eating outside on the picnic tables in the sun. We went for a lovely country walk to Finchingfield, although a taxi back was £60 for a 7 minute journey but that's rural areas.

Cons: The hot tub needed better cleaning as it had sand and debris in it. It comfortably seats four.

Great venue, good location, shame about the electricity issues

Pros: Lots of space, lovely architecture, great rooms and hot tub perfect for a girls weekend.

Cons: We had issues with the electricity on a few occasions throughout and the hot water which interrupted the stay. However the host was helpful and resolved this each time and dropped round a bottle of Prosecco as a apology
