Area of outstanding beauty and relaxation.

Pros: Keith and Carrie were excellent hosts! Instructions were clear and sent before arrival. Property was secure and we felt safe staying there. The lodge was in excellent condition and we felt at home straight away. The area is beautiful with lots of walks and village pubs. Highly recommend staying here!

Very cosy comfy cottage

Pros: Wow what a find nestled between 2 lovely little villages with great places to eat this cottage is perfectly situated to explore the Essex country side the gate house is extremely comfortable very clean and has everything you need to make a home from home stay we didn't want to leave

Pros: This was our last stop on a 5 week road trip around the UK and this accommodation was a perfect spot for us to relax and prepare ourselves for the long flight back to Australia. Everything was provided for a comfortable self-catering stay and the hosts were very friendly and hospitable. Peaceful surroundings but just a short drive to lovely villages with pubs and shops.

Tranquil and cozy stay, great amenities, fabulous hosts.

Pros: A very cozy lodge and beautiful surroundings. We spent three nights here after a long trip home from overseas. The lodge had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was so comfortable. And we had everything we needed to cater for ourselves day and night. Communication with the host was seamless and they were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We felt really looked after. Would highly recommend the gate Lodge. We didn’t get out to see much of the surrounding areas, but it was in a beautiful village with amenities close by. Would definitely stay again, thanks to Keith and Carrie for having us.
