Nice comfortable place to stay, decent value

Pros: Staff were very friendly, evening meal was nice, room warm, bed comfortable and the bedding clean

Cons: Cleaning of the room could have been more thorough

Above expectations

Pros: We stayed in Room 2. Not noisy from below or the road. Great facilities TV, Kettle, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, mirror, bath and shower, fridge and there is milk and cereals in the room for breakfast. Multiple sockets and USB outlets. All in all a nice stay and better than expected from what we had read beforehand. There was plenty of heat and hot water although the radiator was hard to control and not everywhere was spotless but plenty good enough. Chair, desk and plenty of pillows and cushions. Slept well.

Cons: Access to room up steep stairs, flooded main entrance (no fault of premises) heating a bit unpredictable but appreciated a small portable heater in room.

Comfortable room in useful location

Pros: Rooms above a pub and stayed over on a Saturday night but no noise disturbance. Large room with very comfortable bed - two singles pushed together. Bath with shower over; additional heater provided although radiators were more than enough during our November stay. Box of cornflakes and fresh milk in fridge provided for breakfast; we preferred to walk over the road to eat a cooked breakfast. Car park is small but there is a large public car park just over the road.

Pros: Very convenient for the train station (2mins walk). Our room was spacious and comfortable. We ate in the pub which was lively and the food was good.

Pros: The friendliness of the staff, being asked occasionally if there were anything I needed for my room.

Cons: Menu was nice but the portions could be a little more generous.

Pros: Excellent location, very friendly staff on arrival and throughout stay. Room was very comfy and cute, although could do with a little refreshing with paint (only a minor thing). We also had a meal downstairs which was really nice. Would definitely recommend this accommodation and would also stay again!

Lovely Stay at a Traditional English Pub

Pros: A charming English pub in a small village near Stansted Airport. The location is perfect – just a short walk from the station and only one train stop from the airport. The village itself is also beautiful and worth a visit. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The food was excellent, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.Highly recommended!
