University of Essex - Southend Campus

Pros: Room was very clean. Being on a campus, I really liked that the room gad super fast Internet and a huge desk with plenty power sockets which made working on my laptop a pleasure.

Pros: Good location. A little cold in Southend at this time of year but the air was fresh and bracing!

Pros: Good basic accommodation. Great location. Safe environment. Great price

Cons: No home comforts - lamp, tea and coffee

Excellent location to sleep and stay if you go by yourself.

Pros: The location is exceptional. Everything available around it. Stores, restaurants, hyper markets, cinemas, shopping, beach, and the world's longest pleasure pier.

Cons: The common kitchen area does not even have a microwave and everything has a no use signal If there is a kitchen I believe a simple use of it would be a huge advantage to heat a simple and quick meal on a microwave. And to be honest the amount of people using it would be a minority, but great for a late meal.

Good accommodation in Southend

Pros: I have stayed in 'student accommodation' in the past but this was easily the best I have come across. It was good that a separate section is set aside for visitors to the city. You are away from the student area. It makes a big difference as it allows for a more quiet stay. The rate was very good too.

Very secure, very affordable! Can't complain.

Pros: I liked how secure I felt. I had never been here before, but security was so amazing, I had no worries about my safety. Also, the room and bathroom were very clean. Also, the guidance booklet had clear instructions of how to access the WiFi.

Cons: The mattress was not uncomfortable, but it could have been more comfortable. However, due to the affordable price of the room per night, I cannot complain.

Pros: There is a kitchen where you can use a fridge and kettle The room was clean and the staff very friendly. Location wise it was perfect. You're near the center but no noises from it and close to train, bus and 15 min from southend Airport

Cons: Unfortunately you are not allowed to use the stoof or oven

Pros: Everyone is pleasant and very helpful at the front Desk. They make sure that you feel happy and protected. Alway giving that smile. They are always there when you need or asking for something. The accomodation is very quiet, as if there are no students around. Its peaceful, that what I like.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Very central location. Room is spacious and had facilities I needed.

Pros: The staff were fantastic and had an interesting depth knowledge of the local area.

Cons: The room could have had a kettle. There was 2 in the communal kitchen though so I still managed to make a brew
