A beautiful, spotless, and cozy lodge with the kindest hosts!

Pros: I had such a lovely stay at Dedham Lodge! My family and I rented it for the night while attending a party in Manningtree, and it honestly exceeded all my expectations. The lodge is cozy, beautifully decorated, and set in a peaceful rural area β€” the perfect place to relax. Everything was spotless and felt so well cared for. Kim and John were absolutely wonderful hosts β€” kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. They were quick to respond whenever we needed anything, and Kim even went out of her way to drive us to the town center while sharing some lovely stories about the area. That personal touch made our stay even more special. I can’t recommend Dedham Lodge enough! If I’m ever back in the region, I’ll definitely stay here again.

Peaceful stay whilst visiting family

Pros: Friendly, helpful hosts who accommodated my need for a slightly earlier check in.

Cons: Bathroom and bedroom bins had been overlooked.

Comfortable stay in a peaceful setting.

Pros: Friendly, reassuring welcome and took time to show me around and provide useful information. Quiet and comfortable place overall. Had everything I needed.

Cons: Bed wasn't comfortable as could feel the springs but then i have back issues and it's hard to get a mattress to suit me. Shower temperature was hit or miss as temp dial on the tap was misleading but got used to it! (maybe a helpful tip about this would be useful)

Home from home

Pros: Beautifully appointed lodge, will definitely come back. Everything was spotless and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. Very quiet spot, delightful to see the horses running about.

Cons: We were only there for 1 night! We'll definitely try to come back to explore the area

Pros: Lovely peaceful location. Accommodation was spotless. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. This could be a perfect holiday location to really unwind.

Cons: We didn't stay long enough. The shower went hot and cold but not a big issue.

Excellent stay traveling through to the Harwich ferry

Pros: We stayed 1 night traveling from Scotland to the Harwich ferry. The proximity to Harwich was great/crucial for us, as we had to catch the ferry early. Traveling through, we felt very much at home. Checkin was flexible, with a warm welcome and clear explanation. The chalet is very well organized, providing everything you need. We had a happy stay, recommended :-)

Cons: The second bedroom with 2 single beds has a bit smaller beds located against the wall, so if you need a lot of space this is something to take into account. Beside the little bit smaller size, the beds themselves are good.
