Pros: The cleanliness and availability of staff on arrival.

Cons: The tap in the sink needs to be replaced as it is corroded and the mattress was sunken so that needs to be replaced.

Pros: A well presented hotel that, despite being an older building, has been very tidily decorated. Both the interior and the rooms, which are clean and functional for a stay. Very helpful staff, a good location, parking on site ( saves some pennies ). Recommended. Will book again for my next trip.

Pros: Everything was very good. Free parking.Just the window glass wasn't very airtight, letting in drafts. I stayed in during the winter, so it was a bit cold. I tried stuffing the windows with tissues, and it worked fine. I think the landlord will fix it eventually.

Was really impressed with the hotel. Extremely good value for money.

Cons: The entrance to the car park is via a tunnel that is quite narrow.

Good classic place to stay in central Ipswich.

Pros: The Carlton is always nice to stay in. Quiet area at night even though it's close to the town centre, even though I had a room at the front. Very quiet at night. Hotel supplies plenty of toilet roll, tea, sugar and milk which is always a plus and a good breakfast bag.

Cons: I usually have a room on the first floor at the back I had a room right at the top; room was quite cold and small, had to have the heater on a lot and the window was old. Water tap kept spitting. I still had a good nights sleep in the bed. I'd prefer a room on first or ground floor but it was still nice to see Berners St in the early morning, view of older buildings.
