Cosy self catering accommodation

Pros: Really cosy little room with ensuite bathroom. Great size for one person. Comfortable bed, well heated room, hot shower with nice toiletries. Less than 10 minutes from the centre of Bishops Stortford but feels remote. Despite being under the flight path of the nearby Stansted airport I hardly noticed the plane noise. Little kitchen just across the yard has everything you could need pretty much for making simple meals. Free parking on site. Steve replied quickly when I couldn't find the kitchen in the dark after I arrived. Lots of footpaths nearby and some great running routes. Very good value for money. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Pros: The property was comfortable, had a fridge in there, and unexpectedly had free WiFi as well, which was a nice bonus (as it wasn't mentioned on the listings). Even though I was only there for 1 night, it is a property you could easily base yourself there from for a few days if you were exploring the area.

Pros: Great place in excellent location with very helpful host. Easy to find and had all amenities needed for short stay. Very cost and warm.

Spot on apart from the 'makings police'. They didn't scrimp on biscuits, plenty of those!

Cons: My pet gripe of teabag, milk and sugar police rationing, and the smell of spliffs wafting around. The smell gets in the room and takes ages to clear. Usual hotel and B&B supplying 3 teabags, limited milks and limited sugars. I know they can't provide all things for everyone, but it takes 3 sachets of milk to make a cup of tea, so 8 sachets of milk isn't enough. When there is a kitchen on site, I would expect to be able to go and top up my teabags, milk and sugar. Instead I had to message the owners through the app. When I did ask for a top up, the owner came with a selection bag to top up, I was stunned when she started to count out the items for me have. All that wasn't used was left behind, so no idea why B&B's and hotels do this.
