6 West Lane in Aldeburgh - Beautiful cottage near high street

Wonderful cottage, highly recommended

Pros: The location was amazing, just off the main road and a short walk from the beach. We also loved the patio area. Staff were really helpful and responsive.

Cons: The internal stairs are a little steep as is common with older properties, and would benefit from some surface grip and maybe an additional handrail.

Great location and peaceful

Pros: Great location and lots of light. Bunk beds v comfy.

Cons: Main bed small. Some old appliances and the toaster burned my partner.

Pros: Great location with parking around the back. Had more than everything we needed for a short stay. Loved the games in cupboard. Clean and tidy.

Cons: The toaster needed replacing and an electric kettle would have been more preferable.

Excellent stay - a cosy Christmas in Aldeburgh 🎄

Pros: Excellent location just a few steps from the High Street, several shops, restaurants and pubs. Very clean, comfy beds and accommodating owners. I read the previous reviews and felt a bit concerned about a few things and so was very pleasantly surprised. Yes, the stairs are a little steeper than in a modern house but this is quite common in a small coastal fisherman cottage and did not present a problem to us. Yes, the bed has a couple of books under one leg - this is to balance out the floor as again, many cottages have slightly uneven floors. The double bed was very comfortable. The heating system is very effective and the house was very warm, with the exception of the bathroom which was a little fresher but the shower was great. Well equipped kitchen and I was able to produce a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.

Cons: I don’t think there is anything wrong with the property. If I had to give some suggestions for improvement: a lamp in the second bedroom a larger tv (difficult to see from the sofa) A small microwave for warming things through

Pros: Great location in the centre of Aldeburgh ….very clean comfortable …

Cons: I think they need a stair rail, painted stairs and I think this could be dangerous for children elderly snd anyone with a disability …the address could be clearly shown at the top of the stairs behind the property where we had to park… a sign to the address “entrance to high street and West Lane”?

Pros: Lovely cottage - deceptively spacious. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of towels, nice bedding and comfy beds. Excellent location!

Pros: De ligging van het huisje was erg goed. 1 Minuut lopen naar de hoofdstraat. 3 Minuten naar kiezelstrand.

Cons: Het huisje was niet erg schoon. Met name servies (overigens prachtig Denby servies!!!) en keukenspullen. In de percolator zat schimmel.
