The Walled Garden

Great place to stay! Great host!

Pros: Louie was a welcoming, friendly, helpful host. He gave us advice on dog walks, recommended places to eat etc. The bungalow was cosy, roomy and had everything we needed. Lovely and quiet. We really liked the artwork on the walls. The garden was secure so we could let the dog out for a sniff about off lead. The high street was close by for shops and cafes (but you could not hear it at the property), and it was a short walk through the back gate for a country walk with the dog. Would definitely stay again.

Pros: Really friendly and helpful host who gave us lots of advice about places to eat and visit. I loved the accommodation, the kitchen was really spacious and had everything we needed. The secure garden was great for our dog and there was a wonderful long garden table and comfy chairs to relax in at the end of the day - or any time of day! The bathrooms were very clean and underfloor heating made everywhere cosy. Wonderful night skies and very peaceful and private.

Pros: The property is comfortable and well equipped. The garden being enclosed was great for our dog. Love the village and quaint shops.

Cons: Just a little difficult for vehicle access but location of the property is peaceful so well worth it.

A soothing peaceful retreat and the silence at night was a blessing.

Pros: The bungalow is set back down a private lane and well away from the main street so there was a sense of seclusion, peace and tranqulity. Inside the living spaces are spacious but can be closed off to provide more intimate areas as the mood takes you. Long Melford is a lovely old town with buildings dating back to the C.13th, an old Jacobean NT property and all manner of quaint independent shops. Louis (the host) lives next door and is a most amenable host.

Cons: We should have booked longer than two nights!

Pros: The location, The bungalow it's self was amazing clean tired and spacious. The outside was stunning, enclosed, and private. Didn't want to leave!!

Pros: Everything you need when you are away for a week. In a good position for the high street and shops.

Cons: Should have chosen the two single bed option rather than double as there is more room to get in and out of bed.

Absolutely fantastic 4 days would recommend and definitely will be returning.

Pros: The walled garden was very comfortable accommodation with a lovely garden and in a lovely village that had plenty of places to eat and drink. It was central to visit many pretty villages. Fantastic for dogs a great walk a couple of minutes away following a stream. Louis the owner was very friendly and always ready to help.

Would definitely recommend and would stay again

Pros: The property was a great location didn’t feel to close to anyone it’s was lovely and clean a great size. We was a large family and it didn’t feel We was under each others feet. The host was fab as he lives next door but once you are there you don’t see him.

Cons: Nothing the property is amazing
