Meadows Barn

Peaceful quiet retreat much needed after family illness and hospital visits. Excellent spot for a relaxing weekend away

Pros: Myself & elderly relatives stayed for 3 nights at new year and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Meadows Barn. It was really comfortable, spacious, clean & a secure place to stay. We had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable & lovely clean linen. Weather was really cold so before arriving we were worried about being warm, but we had no need to worry as the apartment was lovely & warm. The grounds were pretty & well kept, we enjoyed the views from both the apartment & from the top of the grounds. Lovely views from the top of the land & great to see beehives which no doubt add positively to the environment during the warmer months. Secure gate on the driveway was really nice feature too. We met Julia (owner) on our last day & it was lovely chatting with her & hearing a little history of the place. Thanks for a lovely place to stay 🙏🏻🤩

Cons: Nothing that we didn’t like at all, we really enjoyed our stay. Really good idea to have signs outside front door saying ‘no shoes, no smoking’ as this helps keep the place clean. My only minor suggestion is that my elderly relatives need to sit down to remove shoes. They were unable to manage this while standing in the hallway where the signage was. There is laminate flooring immediately inside the front door so we moved a chair to sit on just inside the front door to help them be able take shoes off & so we could respect the ‘no shoes’ request. As I said, didn’t negatively impact us at all & likely wouldn’t affect most guests, & we easily overcame this without bother.

A beautiful escape to the country.

Pros: Meadows Barn is spacious, comfortable and feels like home, it is set in a beautiful location to see local villages and towns.

Very comfortable place to stay.

Pros: Great location for visiting RHS Hyde Hall. Comfortable with plenty of space and very quiet.

Wonderful place to stay in the countryside. Very peaceful and well equipped for our short stay.

Pros: Spacious accommodation with good self catering facilities. Nice views of the meadow. Secure with ample parking.

A great place to stay and relax

Pros: We have stayed a number of times and always impressed by the property. Quiet, peaceful and overlooking an open field. Great place to relax after a hard days work.

perfect retreat

Pros: peace a quiet and very well equipt kitchen. the local pub was also excellent

Cons: a very small niggle but a coffee table would have been useful or small table at far end of sofa as nowhere close to pop your drink!

Pros: Beautiful grounds & views, clean & comfortable

Apart from a few minor points, we had a very good stay.

Pros: Cleanliness. Full of facilities. Friendly staff. Full power of water pressure. Big space. Lovely interior design and lots of storage.

Cons: Location was a bitf far from town and there was not much space to walk around the village because the only mode of transportation is by car. The roads are extremely narrow and require you to drive with more care than usual.

Absolute luxury.

Pros: Absolutely incredible. A real slice of luxury. I cant recommend it enough.
