Pros: It was close to the train station if wanting to travel to Cambridge, etc. The hotel was located near the war memorial museum. All staff were great, the food was very nice and the place had a good atmosphere. Really beautiful oldy world place would go there again.

Cons: The pub is 500 years old so it can't be perfect. The room was located at the back of the hotel, just a car park between the hotel and train station, so some noise. However, it was not really bad, and as Windows Old, the one wouldn't close completely and are single glazed, so it may be better if the window was able to close.

Pros: Lovely cosy rooms, shower was always hot and room cleaned with towels replaced every day. Good options on the breakfast menu only negative would be no fruit. For the price its a very good hotel and would definitely recommend.

Cons: Only negative but not a big deal would be no fruit at breakfast

a surprising little gem

Pros: The room was really well presented with lovely period features. Room was very clean and bed comfy. Nice touch to include biscuits with the tea making faciltities. The bathroom was very well presented and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was lovely and freshly made - a nice change from hotel chain buffets. Friendly staff.

Cons: The reception area is in the bar and in the evening with people around the bar area felt a little uncomfortable. However, the initial reception area was not representative of the rest of the facilities which were great.

Cons: Unfortunately when we stayed the heating boiler had broken. But they bent over backwards to make us comfortable with portable heating.
