Sunrise Studio

Pros: Lovely location very close to Dedham village in Constable country. Delightfully designed and decorated mini appartment with easy ground floor access in a pretty cottage extension.

A perfect stay.

Cosy, very comfortable, generous and great value. Perfect for Dedham centre less than 2 miles away.

Pros: A fantastic, cosy and comfortable studio. Very clean with the bonus of having a continental breakfast provided (yoghurt, bread for toasting, cereal, muesli, milk, orange juice, jams, butter) with a Tassimo coffee machine and capsules, kettle and toaster. Wifi strong and TV with multiple channels. Easy to warm up with a responsive modern radiator (we stayed on one of the coldest nights of the year). Designated parking space off road right next to the studio - ideal for unpacking cases. Definitely recommended.

Cons: It was all excellent and well thought out.

Cute getaway

Pros: Everything was amazing. Absolutely lovely place. Nice and quiet and serene. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room is super cute and nicely decorated. Very easy check-in process! I will definitely choose to stay here every time I'm in Colchester.

An enjoyable stay.

Pros: We weren't expecting breakfast and so it was a bonus but a choice selection might work better. We could see that a lot of attention to detail had been made which was really nice

Cons: Access to some of the electrical sockets was awkward. The bathroom was cramped and could be reconfigured better. Remove the shower door, make it a wet room, remove the sink. We had a lot of luggage and so the size was a bit problematic for us.

Pros: Everything was set up very nicely and selection of breakfast waiting for us was especially very nice and thoughtful.

Comfortable and just what we needed

Pros: Well organised, nice, generous touches, simple, straightforward stay. Provided everything we needed; nice furnishings, lovely extras like fruit and fresh granary bread slices, butter and jam for breakfast. I appreciated the fridge, hooks to hang clothes, good quality towels, bedding, crockery and coffee machine with pods. The owners clearly went the extra mile to provide an enjoyable stay. This was a lovely, well priced overnight stay. We experienced no problems at all.

Cons: We have no complaints, just observations. Bathroom was chilly. There is a heated towel rail but it wasn't on when we arrived and remained cold to use. A larger shelf for toiletries would be useful and the basin really is tiny. Bed is a normal double which is smaller than we're used to. Cereals were a lovely touch but I have a nut allergy and both options appeared to contain nuts (muesli and crunchy nut cornflakes).

A pleasant surprise

Pros: Very well catered room. Small but usable and well appointed. Host had considered pretty much all needs. Very good.

Cons: Not much.

Pros: Parking at location. Excellent value for money. Very comfortable bed. Lovely continental breakfast provided . Pet friendly.

Lovely cosy place, a short drive or a do-able walk to Dedham. Quiet so got a good sleep.
