The Swan Inn

Exceptionally good.

Pros: Beautifully presented inn. The owners Julie and Stephen were very professional, warm and welcoming. They were very knowledgeable about the area. The room was comfortable and cosy. The breakfast was exceptionally good. Food well cooked and very good quality. I would definitely recommend. Thank you for a great stay.

The Swan is a piece of Suffolk history run by wonderful hosts

Pros: The hosts, Julie and Stephen make The Swan extra special. They’re so welcoming and friendly. Julie’s breakfast is top notch too! Monks Eleigh is a really lovely village and an ideal location to explore some of the best spots in Suffolk.

Pros: Room was nice . Had a nice nights sleep. Friendly owners and customers. Breafast was outstanding 10/10 .We liked it that much we stayed another night.

Super hosts and a lovely overnight stay.

Pros: Julie and Steve our hosts were really excellent! They went way beyond what was expected. The breakfast super and freshly cooked to order. Even offered to give us a lift to pick up our car which we had left in a neighbouring village overnight. Also let us access the room early. Room was spotlessly clean and met our requirements perfectly.

A lovely old pub with rooms. The hosts were very friendly and offered lots of things to do locally.

Pros: The friendly warm welcome when we arrived. The breakfast was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for us fussy bunch of eaters! The building is steeped in history and the owners were able to tell us a lot about it. There was a lovely cosy feel about the place.

Cons: This is very picky but it would have been useful to have additional sockets beside the bed to recharge devices. In such an old building I can see how adding additional socket could be challenging.

Pros: Julie and Steve were wonderful hosts and provided us with great information for exploring the area. Brewster the dog was great for a cuddle! The breakfast was amazing!

A lovely quaint village seeped in history

Pros: A lovely quaint village seeped in history. The property was very safe with a private entrance to save entering via the pub, should you not wish to do so - a fantastic location to nip downstairs for a drink or two! Our stay was very comfortable in the Flock Suite - a lovely modern bathroom, comfortable bed, with access to a mini fridge out on the landing. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. Julie and Stephen were great hosts, and were more than happy to discuss the local area which was a great help for us - would recommend this venue for solo travel as well as with family/couples. Brewster, the pub dog, was a delight! So very friendly and we looked forward to seeing him each time.
