A cosy comfortable log cabin great for exploring Minsmere, Southwold and Aldeburgh

Pros: Friendly welcome. Some lovely Christmas touches including mince pies, thank you. Cosy log cabin accommodation in a quiet location, heard an owl hooting in the evening. Fully adjustable heaters and plenty of hot water. Comfortable beds. Pub served good choice of ales. Menu limited to pizzas due to time of year but the one we had was excellent.

Cons: Noisy fridge which we had to switch off overnight. Pillows need replacing. Minimal toiletries. A tea towel would have been useful. Take care when booking to make sure pub is open and serving food if that is your prime reason for staying here as pub shuts 6pm Sunday and is closed Mondays.

Met expectations and ideal for my purpose

Pros: Very comfortable and cosy chalet. Bonus having the ability to heat food, make toast and have a good sized fridge

Cons: Sink for hand washing could have been bigger especially as It was also used for filling the washing up bowl. Internet didn't work despite asking and mobile coverage in the area is not great (Vodafone) so only intermittently able to hotspot for laptop.

Excellent accommodation and location

Pros: The location was ideal for us. We were made very welcome. The accommodation was very comfortable and peaceful. Helen and Tom were very attentive to ensure our stay was excellent. We would certainly highly recommend this accommodation and will be looking to return in the near future.

Cons: The only thing would be to offer a cooked breakfast option if possible. It wasn't really an issue for us but it would have been an added bonus @

Pros: I loved the quiet location and the warm welcome in the pub.

Cons: It would have been good to have an alternative to a microwave, which I don’t use or know how to use! Two rings would have been good!

Another very pleasant stay, already looking forward to the next one.

Pros: Lovely location, well placed for RSPB Minsmere. Hosts are always friendly and welcoming each time we come back. Nice and quiet, and good food in the pub, along with good selection of cider.

Lovely little cosy cabin .

Pros: The cabin was warm and welcoming , it had all you needed for a for a few nights stay . It was clean and comfortable . We were staying for a cycle event at RSPB Minsmere which was only a few miles away . Satellite TV was a bonus and it was nice to have a little patio for sitting out.

Cons: Some might consider the kitchenette facilities to be a bit limited a bit like glamping.

Pros: Friendliness in a cosy country pub . Everything you needed for a 3 night stay. Comfortable and plenty of character.

Cons: Little bit far from tourist attractions but not too far. Basic facilities but kitchenette would be better with a cooker and sink ( for a longer stay ). Did have plastic bowl + microwave and small stove . But no cooker hob .

Pros: The room was perfect for our needs. Nice outside seating area to enjoy a morning cuppa :-) Friendly owners. Would highly recommend.

Exceptional!

Pros: Very friendly and welcoming hosts. The pub immediately felt like a home from home. The chalet was well equipped and very comfortable. We slept well, ate well, and were entertained. Will definitely be back.

Cons: Had to cover the emergency light above the chalet door - a very bright light and we thought we could remember where the exit was!
