Friendly and so comfortable

Pros: I was greeted by the proprietors. Both very helpful and extremely friendly. David took my case to the room and explained the workings of everything. While I was awaiting the party I was meeting I went to the bar and was welcomed by a lovely open fire. I had the best nights sleep and a wonderfully cooked breakfast the next morning. Every member of staff were so friendly and helpful. I didn’t want to go home and will definitely book again.

Pros: What an excellent gem of a pub. The whole pub is steeped in history and charm, and the rooms were no exception. Wonderful stay here for a Burns night supper and birthday party, which saw us using the pub, restaurant and rooms. Twisted staircases and wonky floors are part of the character here - and despite the age of the pub, the room was light and had a smart TV, tea station and a genuinely lovely setup. I would definitely book a room here again to visit the area, it's very central and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was a really tasty full English with a pot of hot coffee, and it really was delicious too. Recommend if visiting the area.

Weekend away

Pros: Room good breakfast good staff really nice and friendly

Cons: Parking was a bit of a problem car park small and compact tight to get in and out street parking a little difficult. But would stay again

Beautiful hotel.

Pros: Lovely place and great staff. Made me a packed breakfast every morning as I was leaving before the breakfast was served.

fantastic gem in the heart of Chateris - will definitely stay again

Pros: Old fashioned building, room and decor - loved it Cracking pub and food was great value for money

Excellent value for money

Pros: Good full english breakfast, fresh & Hot. Opportunity to ask to for more or less. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. Opportunities available to have lunch and dinner if needed. Lots of history.

Cons: I find parking in the small car park difficult at busy times, but plenty of free parking nearby.
