Slepe Hall Hotel

Pros: Lovely rooms and bathrooms, very comfortable sleep, extra heaters in the rooms, etc.

Cons: Didn’t seem many staff around during our stay. We thought the bar was shut until somebody asked and we were told it was open, there was just nobody manning it and I think the lady on reception was also having to cover the bar so you felt almost bad to go out again to ask for more drinks. The same with breakfast the next day it was all laid out but nobody around. This might’ve been because there was a large event taking place that evening I’m not sure.

Great central location, room was lovely, very high standard. The only thing wrong was that the spa bath didn’t work 😢😢

Cons: Received a call prior to stay to upgrade to full English breakfast, on arrival told it was no longer an option, also big party going on until midnight, not told prior to stay

Pros: Good location for my work. Nice relaxed vibe with an easy buffet breakfast and an easy checkout process.

Cons: A slight delay getting into my room but staff were very accommodating and apologetic about the delay.

A nice New Year's Eve Stay

Pros: Location is great. It's a short walk into town. The route takes you along the river which was lovely to do on a crisp winter morning. The bar and public rooms are really nice. As is the outside seating area.

Cons: We felt the 10am check out was early for New Year's Day. Our room was big and comfortable, but overall needs a bit of an update.

Overall we enjoyed our stay , it does have a lovely boutique style small hotel feel

Pros: Enjoyed the breakfast but had to take plates and cutlery from someone else’s table which was a bit embarrassing as a guest , it would have been nice to see even one person who could have perhaps helped us with that

Cons: Felt perhaps a key code could be introduced for the main door as we stood outside at midnight waiting to be let in after we had phoned the number on the door , it was cold and if I had been alone I would have felt vulnerable stood there at night time

Great little hotel

Pros: The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful The hotel is tastefully decorated and looks lovely The room was lovely and warm which was nice to come into Overall excellent value for money in a great location

Cons: The only disappointing thing was our room had a spa bath, but we couldn't see how to get it working and are unsure if it was faulty or if we just didn't turn it on properly. A manual to use it would have been helpful

Pros: Really nice location, about 5-10 minutes walk into town or the quayside which is a good place to sit with a coffee. Good selection of pubs not too far away, and some nice walks too if it's not been too wet; walking the river all the way to Hemingford in warmer months is nice.
