Seckford Hall Hotel & Spa

Pros: Interesting historic property with many original features. It’s a bit on the pricey side but I did get a room upgrade which made it worth it. Fantastic copper bath in the room. Great breakfast with a lot of options and made with quality ingredients.

Pros: Beautiful building, great food ideal for a Special treat. Staff attentive and polite.

Cons: The property was lovely, so cannot state anything I didn’t like.

Cons: The bed in our room was on the small side.

Cons: Not enough time to explore the whole place. My breakfast was mixed up by staff so I didn’t have any as it was late, if you’re in a large group definitely demand quicker service.

Lovely location but don’t think the price of the room is justified with what is provided

Pros: Beautiful building and grounds. Smart room with a spacious bathroom. Comfortable bed. Huge television!

Cons: Car park was very crowded. There are overflow spaces but these are not concreted so car got very muddy. The air con/heating was complicated, it took a while (and a phone call to Reception) to work it out as the room was quite chilly on arrival. We were offered a ‘complimentary’ spa session but the only times offered were in the morning or at lunchtime when we were not able to check in until 3pm or later so that became impossible. We only booked because it was a spa hotel so to not be able to use the facilities meant we questioned why we had booked. Seemed strange to offer something which could not be provided. The shower head and taps in the bathroom were a bit loose and the bathroom needs some redecoration.

Perfectly nice but room for improvement

Pros: Lovely setting, well decorated room. Gorgeous bathroom! Bed was quite hard and road behind surprisingly noisy for a country lane. Spa was nice but not a huge amount to do, a nice bonus to the room though. Food was incredible but WiFi non existent in the rooms by spa

Cons: Staff were at times rude, could hear them talking about customers.

Pros: Staff, the room #24. Dinner, the food was excellent. The place was cosy and warm with nice intimate areas.

Cons: The breakfast was disappointing. I had poached egg with avocado on sourdough toast. I had to remove the avocado which was not ripe but brown in parts. The sourdough toast was cut too thick making it hrs to cut on the crust.
