MAGICAL!!!!

Pros: Everything you needed and more. The hosts Stacy and Mark were very informative and were at hand for anything we needed. What a wonderful place and set up they have it was like stepping back in time to “Little house on the prairie” only with mod cons. There were boats if ya fancied a row on the lake, there were bikes if ya fancied biking into the village, a kids play area, bbq facilities and much more. We would defiantly be back. The Christmas tree and chocolates left in our accommodation were a nice touch. The lodge itself was lovely warm and cosy, it kept its heat so i was happy 😊. Long Melford has plenty of pubs, tea rooms and shops. Also we went into Sudbury for the market and the Christmas tree Exhibition! Have a TRULY WONDERFUL weekend. Thank you Stacy and Mark.

Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like.

What an absolute gem of a place. Only wish we’d discovered it years ago! We’re already booking to come back next year.

Pros: Beautifully quiet, variety of activities for the children from paddle boards and boats to pool and table tennis, dog friendly, lovely view from the balcony across the lake, blankets and binoculars out on the balcony…

Perfect lodge for our girls night away-can’t wait to return

Pros: Amazing stay!! Gorgeous lodge with everything we needed. Hosts Stacy and Mark were super friendly and helpful and the lodge was lovely and cosy and perfect for us. Comfiest bed I’ve slept in other than my own! Lovely 15 minute walk into Long Melford for fab brunch once we’d checked out at 11am. Would definitely recommend and will certainly rebookfor another stay. Chuffed with our brilliant find.

Cons: Nothing at all, honestly was a fabulous lodge.

Pros: Everything was fantastic, great location, lodge had everything you needed. Great facilities for the children, The lake, playground, Couldn’t fault any of it. We came to celebrate both my husbands and sons birthday and had such a lovely few days together. We definitely will be back for longer next time.

Exceeded expectations!

Pros: Lake View Lodges was an excelllent place to stay and relax. We had our dog with us and the place is very dog-friendly. Mark was also a great host, offering advice on walks we could do and places we could eat. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect stay in a lovely setting

Pros: The lodge is beautifully made out of old timbers and in a lovely position with lovely views over Suffolk countryside

Cons: No simple way to cook as we were not familiar with air fryers

A relaxing, peaceful few days in a wonderful, comfortable lodge

Pros: Everything about our stay was perfect. The hosts were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The lodge was so comfortable and had everything we needed and more. The decking area is amazing and you can sit out and chill and enjoy the view of the lake and the beautiful countryside.

Cons: Nothing everything was perfect.

We had the most wonderful stay, even if we did arrive and leave during a storm we felt so cozy and had the best time. We

Pros: It was very cosy and welcoming every little detail had been thought about. It was fascinating to hear about how Mark had built each one of the lodges himself and it was clear that he had thought of everything very carefully. The children loved the cozy upstairs sleeping area

Cons: Nothing!

Loved it.

Pros: The Lodge and the location. Lovely view, peace and quiet, dogs allowed off the lead - just lovely.

Cons: Although the property isn't necessarily marketed as a fishing location, both the boys agreed that there was definitely a lack of fish in the lake and that was a real shame. It had been explained that there may have been an otter problem from the River Stour and we think that may have been more of a problem than the owners realized. They still enjoyed it and loved the location etc, it really was very nice, but in the end they did pop down the road to a Fishery for a few hours and caught a couple each. I'm sure we'll be back for a visit in the future and hopefully all the baby fish will have grown and been left alone by the otters by then - fingers crossed.
