Perfect for a quiet retreat

Pros: A cosy space with quality furnishings and amenities. It was great having the outside space to ourselves and being able to book the pool for personal use in the evening is a bonus. It would be interesting to know how noise from the other properties impacts on a stay when all are occupied, naturally our time was peaceful and the dark sky at night without light pollution is beautiful. The beds, bedding and towels were top notch and the oven is fantastic. The shower had amazing pressure and always hot water.

Cons: Whilst it was understood it is a working farm there was a mouse who we believe is living in one of the sofas which made it less than relaxing as you could hear the scratching etc if you tried to lounge, so much so on the second night we retired to our separate rooms to watch tv. When not in the sofa it was running back and forth on the kitchen worktop and we made sure food was in the cupboards after discovering a bag of doughnuts had been ripped open in the first afternoon. On Monday morning I awoke to more scratching and the mouse was in my handbag having ripped open a bag of sweets. When I was packing to go home the mouse was in my holdall in a jumper. I decided not to bring it home with me and it was running around the kitchen when we left. Not the end of the world, however it might be an idea to warn guests to keep bags closed and food covered at all times and to spray worktops regularly for hygiene purposes, you don't want to prepare food on a surface on the mouses regular route from the sofa to the cupboards and then up to the bedroom along the upper ledge in the kitchen.

Pros: I liked fact that owner was lovely polite very nice place chilled and relaxing.

Un super gîte !

Pros: Super gîte, hyper propre! literie excellente.. gite proche dans la little port, avec des chevreuils qui viennent devant votre fenêtre au petit déjeuner!

Cons: Un peu galère pour trouver. Maps ne dirige pas vers le bon endroit il manquait juste le nom de la ferme : 'Caves Farm' pour trouver facilement. Donc pour les suivants, il faut absolument indiquer le nom de la ferme en complément de l'adresse. merci
