The White Lion is a traditional hotel opposite Aldeburgh’s shingle beach, where wooden huts line the shore. Excellent location, Pet friendly, comfortable stay

Pros: Great location on seafront with plenty of free parking...all the staff were friendly and welcoming and the inland room was nice and very clean and a good size. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice they even done some fried bread for me on request . This is a very dog friendly hotel too and you can eat in the bar area which is very nice and still feels conected to the brasserie restaurant. There is a nice lounge area with daily newspapers to read. Overall a great 2 night stay and would definitely stay here again

Cons: The outside of the hotel is looking a little tired.. it's an old building but very clean and the staff very much make up for this being friendly , welcoming and happy!

Recent stay at White Lion

Pros: Good location, good size quiet room. Good shower, Adequate breakfast, Friendly staff, Convenient parking.

Cons: Not didn't like, just pointers to consider........Bedroom and Bathroom in need of re-decoration and re-arrangement/layout adequate bathroom provisions..

Loved the location & hotel just some question marks over the food service

Pros: Breakfast was excellent but the coffee was over brewed, Dinner was ok but the thai curry was over wet and the actual food in the curry was very small, not somthing we would choose again also the waitress didnt react well to a complaint.

Cons: Breakfast coffee very thick as if it had been left on the heat and some of the staff didnt like being questioned about the coffee but my Kippers were excellent

Perfect hotel for a short stay

Pros: Hotel was clean, staff were professional and friendly. Breakfast was amazing and fresh with plenty of choice. There was plenty of parking amd perfect for what we wanted. Would definitely stay again.
