The Blue Boar - Maldon

Pros: I liked everything about the blue bore hotel, will definitely stay again 😁

Very pleasant would highly recommend.

Pros: The hotel has a lot of character the staff were lovely and so was the full English breakfast. It’s just round the corner to The high street so it’s a perfect location, close to all the shops and pubs.

Cons: It’s not the Hotels fault but we were woken before 6am with next door banging about unfortunately not everyone thinks about the people in the next room.

My stay at the blue bore was warming and cosy

Pros: The open fire in the bar and all the brass auniments around the whole place and also I am a big fan of how original they kept the building and they kept age and originality in mind

Perfect stay away from home

Pros: The room was super cosy, quirky and homey! The wonky-ness of it made it all the more endearing. It was clean and kept to a high standard. Facilities were spot on. Lovely selection of tea, coffee and even hot chocolate in the room along with some biscuits and ear plugs!! Which did come in handy when the church bells rang. Its location is perfect, right on the high street within walking distance of restaurants, bars and pubs. Breakfast was delicious. Overall we had an amazing valentine's night away and will definitely be recommending Blue Boar to all our friends and relatives. Thank you all!

Loved staying at this beautiful hotel, exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend.

Pros: The hotel is a beautiful period property in very good order and decor. The full english breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly and efficient. Location and parking great. The pub was lovely and cosy with a great range of ales straight from the barrel and good atmosphere.

Cons: Nothing negative to say.

Good place to stay in centre of Maldon

Pros: Very friendly staff and a good breakfast. Comfortable room

Pros: Location excellent, Maldon is lovely and a good spot for exploring Essex and the coast. Hotel was comfortable and the staff lovely. Very good breakfast and good beer in the bar.

Cons: Some fruit would be nice at breakfast. The Wi-Fi was poor in the room unless you sat by the door.

A wonderful Xmas break

Pros: The location at the top of the high street, means easy access to everything. It was Xmas and lots to do.It is a beautiful old building with so much character. Our room was in the courtyard, which is full of character. Our room was perfect and a great bathroom with full walk in shower. A coffee machine as well as complimentary coffee, tea and biscuits. The breakfast is served in the lovely old dining room. A very good full English breakfast with excellent produce. We look forward to staying again. The 2 ladies on reception and in the dining room, were excellent, very friendly and welcoming and hard working.

Cons: We found everything most satisfactory, so no problems.

We love the location and parking.

Pros: Breakfast good, but would have liked some fresh fruit
