Excellent hotel. Definitely recommend

Pros: Perfectly located in a lovely quiet setting. As usual the team at the hotel were excellent providing a superb personal and efficient service. Good room service menu. Property also has a leisure centre attached with an indoor and outdoor pool. We have stayed here a lot and the rooms, service and food are always excellent and you are assured a quiet calm stay

Cons: i nstruggled to climb the stairs so a groundfloor room would have been perfect, however, they could not accommodate me this visit.

Good hotel with nice staff

Pros: All of the hotel staff were friendly and professional. When I booked the hotel, I asked if we could drop our small luggage off before check-in time. I quickly received a reply from the hotel staff suggesting that we could check-in after 12pm for a small additional charge, which was helpful. Both dinner and breakfast were very good. The meals were properly cooked and tasty. The room was clean and spacious, and had a king-size bed, as I requested.

Cons: When we arrived, the car park was very busy and had to park far away from the reception area. This was probably because it was lunchtime, so the restaurant and the leisure centre were busy. As we hadn't expected this, we were slightly disappointed. During the night the room became very hot, even though we had turned the thermostat down before going to bed. It disturbed our sleep several times during the night. We also forgot to pick up bottles of water from the reception, assuming they would be provided in our room as they normally are in other hotels. (But it was our own fault!) This resulted in us becoming even more dehydrated and feeling uncomfortable.

Fantastic- staff are absolutely brilliant and it is a beautiful place with great pools/spa

Pros: We loved this hotel! 100% recommend. The setting and grounds are beautiful, rooms are huge, lounges/dining rooms were lovely, swimming pool and spa was wonderful. We stayed as a family over Christmas and had a lovely time. I cannot recommend more highly. The staff were particularly wonderful and could not do enough to make our stay more special. It has a wonderful feel of a family run place but was also luxurious - I cannot believe it only has 3 stars - deserves more. We will be back.
