So lovely that we've booked to stay again!

Pros: Our room was light and airy, a lovely place to stay. We all felt really welcome - including our dog. The breakfast was beautiful, as was the food in the restaurant.

Cons: Nothing.

Warm welcome, comfy room and good food in an individual environment.

Pros: Character, individuality, history, not too large, comfortable good sized room, good food, walking distance of the Apex theatre.

Cons: Uncertainty of getting a parking space - compounded by the installation of two electric vehicle charging points. The area generally is not great for cars (due to the nature of the settlement generally and the fact that there is increasing vehicle ownership/use plus many builders transit vans also the constant need for delivery vehicles). There is a public car park in the general vicinity. N B Train travel was not an option for us.

Good for one night stay - would visit again.

Pros: Good food and comfortable room for one night stay. Nice to be able to control heating in bedroom . Very interesting character pub.

Cons: Service was slow at dinner - waited 45 minutes for starter. Shower in bathroom had mould/grime around bottom. Mattress on bed was a little hard for my liking.

Bury St Edmunds is a lovely city and definitely worth visiting.

Pros: Our room was beautifully presented and very clean, it was also very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was included, delicious and freshly cooked. There were also cereals, fresh fruit, juices and the best yoghurt I have ever eaten. The staff were lovely and the location was very good as it was an easy 5 minute walk into town and about 15 minutes walk to the cathedral.

We had a memorable time. We even got engaged in Bury.

Pros: It was very comfortable room with welcoming staff, and lovely food. Breakfast was great every morning and the roast was delicious. Great Location. Cannot fault it!

A wonderful stay, staff are excellent, food, room all outstanding. Highly recommend.

Pros: The room was wonderful, and the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was exceptional and again, staff really friendly & on hand to assist. Will certainly stay again.

Cons: In the rain, the metal staircase to our room was a little slippy, but it does have grips to prevent falls or slips. Some older or less mobile guests may need to be made aware of the access to rooms.

Great place to spend a night whilst catching up with friends in the area We will be back!

Pros: Room was lovely and well equipped. Very comfortable bed - Duvet was like sleeping under a cloud! Breakfast was yummy! (Oh and hubby said the Man Overboard IPA was very delicious!!

Cons: Not being able to buy Man Overboard in bottles :(
