Lovely pub getaway nice rooms and friendly staff

Pros: I liked the set up of the rooms in a little courtyard Considering it was January the room was very warm - I would like to experience the stay in the summer as the courtyard was very cute and excellent if you were away with friends as each room opened out onto the courtyard Bathroom was lovely and the bed was comfortable

Cons: Breakfast was a little slow the restaurant was not set up for breakfast there was no juices on display but the breakfast menu was sufficient and when it was ready it was excellent

Really really lovely old pub with the best staff and a comfortable stay.

Pros: Brilliant breakfast we didn’t know it was included. Great food, service and the best tea pot I’ve had anywhere. Staff are all lovely so helpful. Wonderful gem of a pub and great for an overnight stay too.

Cons: The shower in the red room dripping from head of joint and if spray pattern changed made toilet, sink etc. really wet but other than that 5 star excellent for everything .

Pros: Staff/owner. The layout of the rooms round a quadrangle. Comfortable bed,although just a small double. Really good toiletries. Cleanliness. Great breakfast.

Cons: Slightly sparse hanging space, but ok for two night stay. A slightly small TV.

Pros: Atmosphere of the pub, general layout and rural farming location and theme. Nice country feel with good access. Food and drink choice of high quality and very good. Staff very friendly. Lovely hot shower and large kettle with a decent sized mug! Soft towels and nice bed linen.

Cons: The size of the bed was really compact for two, in fact really small. Hanging Space in our room was slightly lacking I would say the blue room should be a single room as quite tight.

Given the opportunity we would definitely stay here again.

Pros: The bar, cozy and friendly. The food was delicious, quite obviously local products. Loved it!

Friendly comfortable stay in a great location

Pros: Lovely comfortable bed and luxurious furnishings. Perfect for an overnight stay whilst attending a local event.

Cons: Needed a little more attention to detail - shower sprayed water in the wrong directions and cobwebs on high!

Our stay was amazing in a lovely room in such a pretty location with such welcoming and friendly staff!

Pros: The room was clean,comfortable and welcoming.The location was lovely set in peaceful surroundings. The staff were all really friendly and so helpful.The food was delicious and plentiful served by really polite and friendly staff. The owner, Jo was amazing as she kindly lent us camping chairs as we were attending Radio 2 weekend party in the park and had accidentally left our chairs at home.. such a kind gesture. Would definitely recommend a stay here. We celebrated my husbands birthday and our Anniversary and it couldn’t have been any better.

Cons: Really can’t fault the property. Just a lovely room with a spacious bathroom and pretty setting.

Pros: A place that looked understated. Well kept rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good food and prepared very fast and hot. Small place but with lots of history. Loved it!

Cons: Don’t know if it was meant to be part of the historical facts and decor, but the cobwebs in the courtyard where the rooms are, were unsightly. My apologies if they were meant to be part of the ambience being in the suburb!
