Potton Hall

Pros: A lovely place, set in a beautiful location and hosted by a really friendly and thoughtful host, will be coming back when the weather is better that’s for sure.

Pros: We had a lovely long weekend at Potton Hall. Priscilla was a very attentive host and always on hand if we needed anything. We enjoyed long walks to the coast followed by a long soak in the hot tub as well as the steam room and sauna. The room was always warm despite us visiting in the middle of January. The continental breakfast was tasty, fresh and plenty of it to fuel us for a days walking. We have already booked another stay and looking forward to it.

Cons: Sadly the restaurant wasn't available for our stay which would have added to our weekend. We were told a week before though so not a problem and we ate at other places close by.

Our stay lived up to our expectation ;would love to return.

Pros: Beautiful location ; excellent host very welcoming. Spa facilities and using them in the winter . Dog friendly.

Pros: A stunning house in a very peaceful location. We were warmly welcomed by a very hospitable host. The breakfast was delicious. We had a beautiful spacious room with a very comfortable bed and lovely views of the grounds.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Last minute booking to attend an event at nearby Henham Park. The property is undergoing extensive renovations but I can imagine once complete the place will be lovely so highly recommend. The breakfast was delicious! As a tip: Signage is a little sparing at the moment, so when you walk over the bridge from the car park turn right and head to the yurt to check in etc.

Pros: The entire property was absolutely beautiful with just the best taste in interior design and top quality & very stylish furnishings that I’ve ever experienced . It was a real paradise , just a shame I could only stay for the one night as I was heading off to France the next morning

Pros: The location is excellent, Potton Hall is inviting and cosy, the host is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious and refreshingly different from the usual full English breakfast (although you can have one of those too, of course).

Pros: The staff are really friendly and helpful. The spa facilities are great. The accommodation is in a peaceful, rural, country house location with a lovely large garden and many country walks on the doorstep. We enjoyed the location in late November and it would be even more amazing with more hours of daylight and warmer weather in spring, summer and autumn. We had breakfast and dinner at the property and although the range of choices was quite limited, the food was very good.

Cons: The following points are not really dislikes but more things for potential guests to be aware of. The accommodation and the other facilities are in several different buildings within the large garden of the main house. So you need to go outside to get from one to the other which means needing warm clothing and a torch at night during the winter. Food is served in the Yurt which is lovely but was a bit cool when we were there in frosty weather in November.

Pros: The Hostess was so warm and welcoming couldn't do enough for you, facilities swimming pool sauna ,jacuzzi, spotless very clean the yurt in side warm and very clean Breakfast was really good

An amazing retreat for getting away from it all - magical.

Pros: Amazing setting on the edge of Dunwich forest. The building and grounds has old world charms mixed with African influences. Truly unique! Our host Pricilla was so accommodating and welcoming. I came home feeling the most relaxed I have been in a long time.
