An oasis of peace , with beautiful views

Pros: Beautiful find in the Suffolk countryside, very peaceful and easy to find . It had everything I needed and Framingham two minutes away if you have forgotten anything

Cons: Nothing really , it was beautiful. I’m 6ft 4 and didn’t feel cramped .

Great location for a solo traveller exploring Suffolk.

Pros: The location was great, the pre-arrival instructions were clear, and it was as described. I loved the peace and quiet - just me, and a horse in the next field. The shower was remarkably good once i worked out how to switch on the hot water.

Cons: No beers and crisps on arrival, as was detailed in the welcome information. Also the door to the hut didn't shut fully at the bottom so it was not possible to just have the top of the stable door open

Pros: All the internal fittings were good and comfortable.

Cons: The wooden steps leading into the hut were uneven and for the elderly they were difficult and I should probably say - dangerous. No

Peaceful location

Pros: Lovely peaceful location, easy to find via satnav , reasonably well equipped. We were attending a music festival at Easton Park Farm which was easy to get to. It was lovely to sit outside and listen to nature.

Cons: It would perhaps be easier to have the keys in a keysafe actually by the accommodation than having to go looking for them. My Internet connection was poor and I struggled to read the welcome email to find out where they were. The welcome email said there would be crisps and beer as a welcome gift but the pixies must have raided the hut!

Pros: Location was good, out of town/city, very quiet and peaceful. The hut very cosy and comfortable. Remeber it is a shepherds hut in a field, not a 5 star hotel room. We loved it

Cons: Door did not shut properly, the bottom corner of the door has warped so needs to be shut firmly

A relaxing chilled cosy break.

Pros: Compact and warm. It didn’t get too cold overnight. Just outside Framlington a lovely town. Pub 1/2 mile down the road. Everything else was good. loved the little fire though only needed it on one of the nights. lovely Firepit/bbq outside and a picnic bench with sun brolly. Great having basic essentials like soap dish washer liquid, salt n pepper and a few T-bags sugar and coffee. A heated garden room was available to relax in with a table football plus board games with a garden sofa and chairs to chill on.

Cons: The hot water was far too hot -it needs adjusting. Fridge in cupboard need more ventilation.

enjoyed the stay, pub 10 min walk away but wouldn’t reccomend having carvery in the evening it was awful.

Pros: very quirky, lovely location. loved the burner ( defiantly needed)

Cons: bed very uncomfortable the mattress kept splitting apart, also pillows very flat you need two per person. could not stay any longer than a weekend due to having no storage place everything goes under the bed.

An enjoyable stay in a quaint shepherd's hut

Pros: I liked the situation of the shepherd's hut in the quiet countryside. The kitchen equipment was good with an electric kettle, tea and coffee supplied, plus fridge, toaster, microwave, electric hob, plates, mugs and all utensils. Tea towels, washing up liquid, cloths and scourer supplied too, which are too often missing. The convertible sofa/double bed was comfortable. The electric lights were cleverly designed to look like taps with jam jars over the spout...I couldn't figure them out to begin with! The window curtains were attractively arranged and there plenty little windows to let in the light. The handheld shower was just as I like it and there was hot water available for the sink and shower from an electric water tank underneath the bed. There was a wood burner with some wood and kindling supplied, though I didn't use it. There was also a small floor heater, which was on all the time to prevent dampness.

Cons: It didn't bother me much on my visit in October, but I think I would have needed a proper electric heater during the colder winter months. Tending to a woodburning stove would be a bit impractical when you are going to and from the hut during the day and also out for a period in the evenings. I came on my bike, so would not have been able to carry wood from a store. An electric oil-filled radiator would be much more practical in my opinion and would take up less space than the wood burner.
