Clean, basic and comfortable stay with lovely staff

Pros: Everything you would expect from a comfortable, warm and friendly village pub. Clean and comfortable rooms, lovely food!

Cons: This is a massive positive! We had prebooked a minibus to take a group of us to a wedding at a venue nearby. We were let down badly by this minibus (NOT in any way linked to the staff or property). Up stepped a member of staff and a customer (friend of the staff) and went out of their way to ferry us in their own cars. We can't thank them enough!

Nice stay for one night

Pros: It is a great country pub serving excellent food With the addition of a hotel situated next door to pub And the staff are fabulous very helpful

Cons: My fault the only room was a single and the bed was a 2ft 6 so did have trouble sleeping but was my fault for booking a single

Clean, welcoming would stay again

Pros: Great for the price, clean, welcoming, big tv lol. Tea coffee available. Basic but comfortable and clean, very happy.

Cons: I ordered home made pie for my main, it was obviously microwaved, pastey top was soggy and half way through middle was cold, expensive considering. The starter and dessert were nice though + husband liked his fish + chips.

Comfortable and convenient place to stay

Pros: Black Bull are good hosts, very welcoming. Rooms are comfortable. Cereals, fruit, toast and tea and coffee etc are included in price Room. We ordered a cooked breakfast at a very reasonable price and this was hot and tasty.

Cons: There wasn't anything to dislike.

Comfortable and clean room in good location

Pros: Clean, comfortable room. Everything we needed. Well located for our purposes. Plenty of parking.

Cons: Continental breakfast included but the time was too early at 8.15 to 9.15 after and night out at a party the night before.

Pros: Very clean, quite location. Staff were very friendly. Lovely walks around the village.

Nice stay at The Black Bull Inn

Pros: Stayed for 3 nights. Room had everything as detailed in the description - pictures accurate. Comfy bed. Owners and staff all very friendly, lovely pub. Plenty of parking. Would definitely stay here again. Great continental breakfast included, and for a very reasonable extra cost the cooked breakfast is lovely. The evening meal we had on the first night was excellent!

Cons: All great, but if staying for more than one night the room could do with more places to put belongings when unpacking. Bathroom needs a bit of sprucing up, but shower was good.
