We only stayed one night visiting friends, but he hotel has made sure we'll return for a longer stay

Pros: The Mistley Thorn is in an excellent quite location overlooking the water and a very pleasant walk into Manningtree town. The breakfast as part of the price was very good with lots of choice using local produce and service was exemplary. The room was nice and large with a lovely view overlooking the bay and bathroom facilities can't be faulted.

Excellent accommodation. Meals very good.

Pros: Mixed feeling about the breakfast. Smoked salmon and scrambled egg were excellent. Continental buffet was not very impressive. Accommodation was excellent and substantial;.

Cons: Choices on the continental buffet were not very good

Excellent

Pros: The staff, food and ambiance was great. The room was lovely, but alot of stairs to each level. These stairs are steep so I would recommend it’s not great for everyone. First floor, lounge and shower/toilet and send floor bedroom and bathroom with bath. As I say loads of steep stairs but nevertheless it was a great suite and very clean. The food was excellent, staff friendly and very nice Well worth a stay

Pros: Great friendly staff , great atmosphere on the bar/eating area. The room was spacious, very well decorated , clean and a great powerful shower. Would highly recommend.

Great food, lovely location and attentive staff. Comfortable and would visit again.

Pros: Restaurant was fantastic. Food at Breakfast & dinner was exceptional. Service was good. Room was comfortable, but bed could have been better. Two singles pushed together wasn't the most comfortable. The noise from the Road was also noticeable. Other than these points the stay was perfect and I would stay again.

Cons: Bed and road noise. Wi fi upstairs was very slow.
