Holiday Inn Express Colchester by IHG

Pros: Clean comfy room with good facilities including well stocked tea/coffee station. Staff very friendly, courteous and attentive. Reasonable food/bar menu and very good breakfast options.

Cons: Nothing, very happy with overall experience

Pros: Reception welcome and friendly Room space enough and best of tea, coffee and Hot chocolate in room.

Cons: Pillows

Overnight en route to family do

Pros: Quiet location but close to Colchester. Good breakfast choices included. Fair price for half term weekend. Easy parking. Helpful receptionist.

Cons: Minor room faults with overbed light flashing occasionally and squeaky bathroom door, but not a problem

Just a fabulous stay,very comfortable and welcoming and nice food-brilliant staff

Pros: The staff were amazing, nothing was too much-very welcoming and helpful

Cons: No bath(but shower was lovely)My hairdryer wasnt working-but staff said their had been a powercut and they rushed around to get a hairdryer but i had to depart

Cons: None altho as someone who works in mental health, there were ligature hazards ie the red thing hanging off the ceiling, both shower room and bedroom.. other than that, everything was perfect..

Pros: The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was great. The location was nice and quiet also. The staff were very nice and obliging.

Ok for overnight stay

Pros: Room was fine had all the amenities required for an overnight stay. Breakfast was busy but plenty of food available.

Cons: Make sure you pay for your parking as even if you are staying overnight at the hotel you have to pay. Unfortunately the reception will not remind you of this even though you register your car details with them.

Pros: Clean & tidy, my niece loved the little games room. The staff are absolutely amazing, could not do enough for you as we had a few issues.

Cons: The new double beds are small. They are comfortable but small.

Pros: Great stay in a key location, rooms were so comfortable and clean. Will definitely be staying again!
