The Cobham Hotel

Pros: There was an issue with our room being double booked,but the lady was amazing sorting us out a different room and she also mentioned getting us a partial refund due to not having the right room. . The decor was lovely, lots of quirky features. Lucy the lady who was serving behind the bar was brilliant and there was a brilliant atmosphere in the bar when we returned from our evening out and it really made our evening. Breakfast was lovely.

Cons: Not being able to have a bath,the room we originally booked stated it had a bath,the room we got had a tiny shower.but as we were only there one night we made do.

Would’ve stayed longer if I could’ve of

Pros: Beautiful with old-fashioned features, comfortable room lots of space nice bar and garden outside. It’s a shame as. By one customer who doesn’t like me otherwise I would’ve stayed for longer.

Cons: I liked it all if I needed anything people got it for me breakfast is included and there’s fun atmosphere there

A great weekend

Pros: A lovely welcome from Jolene. The staff were great very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Sea view from the room. The venue had been hired for one of my family members special birthday and Cobham Hotel provided a fabulous buffet. Really good breakfasts (the veggie one was delicious) with unlimited tea/coffee. Will certainly be back

Lovely location and clean accommodation

Pros: So close to sea. Free parking. Staff excellent and accommodating. Clean too.

Cons: Couple of things not working which could have been checked before arrival.

Great stay overall

Pros: The decor, ambience and hospitality of the hosts. Right in front of sea front. Breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious

Perfect for stop over after a party!!

Pros: Very convenient location. Found a parking space right outside. Room very comfortable. Delighted to find we had a lounge area within a turret! Enjoyed a cup of tea overlooking the sea. Lovely original Victorian features throughout hotel mixed with modern. We were attending a party in the basement function room and it was brilliant to be so close at the end of the night. Bed very comfortable. Full English breakfast included was a bonus too.

Cons: A couple of very minor niggles about the room but nothing that spoilt our stay. Mixer tap in bathroom was very hard to switch to shower and main light in ceiling wasn't working.

Pros: Was told about a party before we got there. The staff were very friendly.

Pros: I've got to say all good things, because the owner is a friend. Always makes me welcome.

A very pleasant base for a stay in Southend. We'd happily stay there again.

Pros: Very pleasant and helpful staff. A quiet area but within walking distance of the busy areas of town.

Cons: the breakfast was plentiful but of average quality ingredients.

Pros: Lovely staff who really went out of their way for us. The whole hotel had such a friendly vibe. Really clean & comfortable as well. A lovely stay 😊
